 EDMOND — The “Yard of the Week” award goes to Wayne and Billie Lewis, 2013 Morning Star, in the Faircloud addition. This magnificent yard will attract your attention when you drive down their street. Large, showy beds of assorted caladiums, purple ageratums, assorted waxleaf begonias, marigolds, zinnias, geraniums, assorted coleus, dusty miller, pink petunias, pink mandevillias, angelina and pink pentas, provide a profusion of colors and textures.
Their beds also contain blue daze, assorted lantanas and ferns, New Guinea impatiens, white tree roses and foxtail ferns, red knock-out roses, pomegrantes. Blue Atlas cedars andlaceleaf Japanease maples are at the back of their beds. Containers of red and white mandevillas with a beautiful wrought-iron trellis provide quick splashes of color.
This is a yard that all gardeners in Edmond must drive by and see and appreciate. The beauty of this yard is that all the work and design was done by Billie. “Yard of the Week” is co-sponsored by Edmond Beautiful Inc., The Edmond Sun, the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce and the Home Depot.
