 The Yard of the Week award goes to Maggie Grissom, left, and her son Pat Grissom, 731 W. Seventh St. This small yard provides a colorful collection of unusual flowers and shrubs. Beds of assorted zinnias, yellow marigolds, Texas petunia, yellow sweet potato vines, orange hibiscus, yellow dahlias, assorted canas, fringe flower and red and pink pentas provides a veritable rainbow of colors. Red and white crape myrtles, pink petunias, pink and white mandevillias, red and white waxleaf begonias, red, white and orange hybird tea roses, red and pink knock-out roses, Austrian pine tree and purple smoke tree provides a dramatic accent to this delightful yard.
