EDMOND — The Yard of the Week award goes to Wendell and Kari Holland, 2017 Wickshire Circle in the Thornbrooke Addition.
A delightful combination of colors and textures will draw your attention to this impressive yard, with beds of red and white begonias, red, pink and white periwinkle, red angel wing begonias, purple hearts and assorted caladiums. A purple ice plant set in front of a large blue atlas cedar provides an interesting focal point.
Several pink crape myrtles, an elegant weeping red bud, saucer magnolias, Chinese pistache, dwarf nandinas, azaleas, magic carpet spirea, emerald gaitey euonymus, fountain and zebra grasses add extra interest to this aesthetically pleasing yard.
Yard of the Week is co-sponsored by Edmond Beautiful Inc., The Edmond Sun, the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce and The Home Depot. The winner receives a six-month subscription to The Sun and a $50 store credit from The Home Depot.
