Jennings Taylor takes Yard of the Week
EDMOND — The Yard of the Week award goes to Keri L. Jennings Taylor, 5924 Great Hampden Rd. in the Hampden Hollow Addition.
A mixture of color, bloom, shape and texture in this corner yard is provided by pink and red climbing roses, purple petunias, assorted coleus, fountain grasses, red and pink begonias, red periwinkle and red, pink and orange impatiens.
A delightful combination of trees and shrubs adds extra interest with her blue atlas cedars, dogwoods, flowering crabapples, lace bark elms, four varieties of red Japanese maples, white and purple crape myrtles, boxwoods, hollies, crimson pygmy barberries, assorted hostas and magnolias.
Large unusual containers artfully placed on her porch of assorted ivy, dwarf Alberta spruce, geraniums and caladiums accent this praise-worthy yard.
Yard of the Week is co-sponsored by Edmond Beautiful Inc., The Edmond Sun, the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce and The Home Depot.
The winner receives a six-month subscription to The Sun and a $50 store credit from The Home Depot on Broadway.
